Welcome back to my blog!

 I want you to get to know me a little better as I continue to update you, so today I will be talking about me, my plans, and why I chose video games to be the topic of my magazine.

My name is David, I am a high school Senior at American Senior High School. Media studies interested me as a class because though I consume media everyday and use media outlets constantly, I have little to no knowledge as to what actually goes on behind the scenes during the creation of said media, or any of the little details that might go over our heads but are actually intrinsic when it comes to the creation of a good movie or show.

So then why video games? 

Video games have been my go-to pasttime since I was very young. They allow you to immerse yourself in a world far from our own, and with so many video games being out there the possibilities for entertainment are almost endless. There are video games for every kind of person, some have deep and complex narratives that were carefully written while others focus more on action and quick rapid scenes. 

However, just because I'm so passionate about video games doesn't mean I intend to pursue anything related to them as a career.

My main goal in life is actually down the medical route, as I wish to become a surgeon in the future. I've already begun my journey by going down the biomedical careers academy at my high school, which has prepared me with the basics of anatomy and how to take vital signs, as well as other important pieces of information that could be used to save someone. I was CPR certified from my freshman year, however it expired last year, however I intend to get it renewed.
